Trim the Wick – *Before each burn*, trim the wick to about *¼ inch*. This helps prevent excessive smoking, sooting, and an uneven flame. – A shorter wick also keeps the flame steady and allows the candle to burn more slowly, giving you a longer-lasting candle. 2. Let the Wax Melt Evenly – On your *first burn*, allow the candle to melt across the entire surface, edge to edge. This helps prevent *tunneling* and creates an even wax pool. – Aim to burn for about *1-2 hours per inch* of candle diameter (e.g., a 3-inch-wide candle should burn for about 3 hours on its first use). 3. Burn Safely – Place your candle on a *heat-resistant surface* away from drafts, flammable items, pets, and children. – Never leave a burning candle unattended. – Extinguish the candle if it’s flickering excessively or the flame is too high, as this can be a sign the wick is too long. 4. Avoid Burning for Too Long – We recommend burning your candle for *no more than 4 hours* at a time. This helps preserve the quality of the scent and prevents the glass from overheating. 5. Keep the Wax Clean – To ensure the best fragrance experience, keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and other debris. 6. Extinguish Properly – To avoid smoke and preserve the candle’s fragrance, use a *candle snuffer* to extinguish the flame, or dip the wick into the melted wax and straighten it afterward. Blowing out the flame can cause smoke and disrupt the scent. 7. Stop Using When Low – Discontinue use when *½ inch of wax remains* at the bottom of the candle.
